Can I simply change the cable from one dryer to another?

We just made a home dryer craigslist, The problem is that the dryer, which just brought home is another wall socket. Can we just change the cable from one to another? Both are 240 dryers, but the new is pin 3 and the wall socket with the original hair is 4 points. Thank you!

Yes, you can use the old cable. Simply connect the green wire and white wire to the same terminal on the back of the dryer. If there is a ground terminal in the dryer install green cable in place.
